Prepare for postpartum with the same intention you prepare for birth.
A boutique workshop for expectant mothers led by labor & delivery nurse, and certified doula
Osha Maloney, RN, BSN, CD.
The Woom - Aptos
August 16 4-7pm
$68 (sliding scale available)
Fifteen years ago, I thought I was prepared.
I had taken the classes.
I read the books.
I had a birth plan.
I felt ready.
Then postpartum arrived.
Despite all of that preparation, I wasn't ready for the recovery, the identity shift, the emotional ups and downs, or how much I would need support.
The experience never left me.
Since then, I've spent years working as a labor and delivery nurse, mother-baby nurse, and certified doula, caring for hundreds of women as they welcomed their babies.
Again and again, I saw the same thing.
Women were prepared for birth.
Very few felt prepared for postpartum.
Rooted & Ready is the workshop I wish someone had offered me.
A space where we prepare not only for baby's arrival, but for your recovery, your wellbeing, your relationships and your transition into motherhood.
Postpartum is weeks.
Months.
Sometimes longer.
While so much attention is placed on preparing for labor, many mothers enter the fourth trimester wondering:
You deserve better than figuring it out alone.
Ground
A guided meditation and gentle nervous system reset to help you connect with yourself before connecting with your baby.
Reframe
An honest conversation about matrescence, expectations, identity shifts, perfectionism, and what postpartum really looks like.
Learn
Practical education from an experienced RN and certified doula covering:
Plan
Create your own personalized postpartum plan so you leave with practical support already in place.
Connect
Meet other expectant mothers and begin building the community every new mother deserves.
A personalized postpartum plan
Confidence in your recovery, your instincts and your choices
Practical tools for navigating the fourth trimester
Resources you'll actually use
New connections with other mothers
Greater trust in yourself

Third trimester is ideal, somewhere between 28 and 38 weeks gives you time to absorb everything and still have it fresh in your mind when baby arrives. Earlier is welcome too, and even if you're freshly postpartum!
This class is designed as a space for mothers, but reach out and we can talk about whether it makes sense for your situation.
Yes, genuinely. Osha's home is committed to serving families facing financial barriers. Send a message and we'll find something that works.
Get in touch directly. This support may still be exactly what you need. Postpartum has no expiration date on needing care.
Wonderful! This workshop complements childbirth education by focusing on everything that happens after birth, the part many families feel least prepared for.
Yes. Also, Osha's Home membership tiers, starting at $75/month, offer ongoing support, resources and 1:1 care well beyond the classes.
